" I want you to know how much I
appreciate what Jointinol-V has done for my dog
Newman. He is now 10 years old, and is an 85
pound mixed breed boy. He was always very active
until at about 4-1/2 years old when he tore the
ACL in his left knee while playing with another
dog at the off-leash dog park. After a few
months of it not getting any better our vet
performed ACL surgery. A long recuperative
period lasting around 4-6 months finally got him
almost back to normal, except that he always
limped after any vigorous or sustained activity,
like a long hike. The vet had told us to expect
what he referred to as "weekend warrior
syndrome", and we had a prescription for Rimadyl
to relieve his pain. We also gave Newman
glucosamine with his food every day to keep his
joints working well.
But then, in
addition to his leg problem, he began having
skin problems at around 7 years old. We took him
to one of the few canine dermatologists around
here who diagnosed the problem as "zinc response
syndrome". So now we also had to give him
prescription zinc tablets every day with his
food.
Unfortunately, his skin did not
seem to get appreciably better, and he still had
a sore leg after exercise. Another vet thought
his problem could be from a food allergy, and so
she put him on a prescription diet food that was
ultra allergen-free. But even after many months
on the diet food his skin was not really better,
so that did not seem to help either. Plus, it
was very expensive.
So we started
searching around the internet for solutions,
wondering what else could possibly be causing
his skin problems. I wondered if he might be
allergic to something in his diet, like
shellfish. My wife found your product, which
does not contain shellfish-based glucosamine. We
ordered some to try out and could not be more
pleased with the results.
After getting
him on Jointinol-V he began to act like a puppy
again. He was much more active and enjoyed
playing more. And he did not limp after
exercise. He has gotten so much better that we
have stopped the use of Rimadyl. And his skin
has also improved, so we have stopped giving him
the zinc supplement and we have stopped buying
the expensive ultra allergen-free food. These
moves alone have probably saved us more money
than we spend on your product.
Now, he
sure does not act like a 10 year old dog. He has
more energy and fewer skin problems. And an
added benefit is that he loves the taste of your
product. He licks the measuring spoon with great
gusto as opposed to a lot of the other products
that he tolerated but did not like to eat.
As long as Newman is around I will keep
buying Jointinol-V, for his health and
well-being. I have attached a picture of my boy
playing in the snow.
