Our Skelton is made of bones that give the
body the support it needs. The make up of our
bones is a hard tissue primarily made from
calcium phosphate and other mineral matter,
and organic matter (which is mostly gelatin).
Our red blood cells are produced in the bone
marrow, which a soft spongy tissue that is
located in the center of our bones.
Bones can regenerate themselves when broken
unlike any other wounds; they heal without
forming scar tissue. Researchers have found
that a broken bone that has healed is stronger
and bigger in size than before it was broken.
Broken bones can heal at any age, however; it
can take almost a year more for a bone to heal
in a senior than in a children or
adolescences. Proteins and zinc are necessary
to help with the healing process.
To keep your bones healthy you must nourish
your body with an ample supply of calcium.
Vitamin D is also needed to help absorb the
calcium into your bones. Milk and dairy
products are one the best sources for
receiving calcium. Vegetables are another good
calcium source for example; broccoli, kale,
mustard greens, Chinese cabbage, dates and
almonds. Some foods that are high in calcium
contain oxalates that can keep your body from
absorbing the calcium that it needs for
example; rhubarb, beet greens, spinach and
sesame seeds. Eating high quantities of high
fiber foods will also slow down the absorption
of calcium.
Our bodies can produce the Vitamin D it needs
through the skin being exposed to the sun. For
a young person, exposure to the mid-day sun
for 10 to 15 minutes 3 times a week is usually
enough to produce the Vitamin D needed while
seniors’ require 30 minutes of sun 3 times a
week to produce the Vitamin D needed for good
bone health.
When exposure to the sun is not possible a
good source of Vitamin D can come from eggs,
milk, liver and oily fish.
Research has found that Calcium is the hardest
mineral for the body to absorb. It is
recommended that you use liquid Calcium.
Liquid Calcium has a 95% abortion rate
compared to the pill form that has an abortion
rate of only 45%.
Your diet should include a good liquid vitamin
and mineral supplement along with liquid
calcium. The liquid calcium should contain
Phosphorus (Chealte), L-Lysine, Manganese,
Vitamin D and the amino acid which are
necessary for effective absorption. Back to
