Is ADHD Hereditary - in Children?

Many adults adults are
discovering that they have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
better known as ADHD.
They are seeing the same symptoms: easily distracted, mood swings,
bad behavior, and lack of focus, hyperactivity, inattentiveness, and
constant fidgeting traits that they experienced as a child and even
now as an adult.
Studies in genetic science have proven that ADHD is hereditary.
Scientists have found that a child who has been diagnosed with
disorder usually has at least one close family relative that also
suffers from ADHD. Through genetic studies they have come to the
conclusion that while they can’t find the genetic gene that causes
ADHD, they conclude; however, that it can be caused by
neurobiological or genetic factors.
Research studies also tell us that if a child who has been diagnosed
with ADHD and has no close family relative who has been diagnosed
with ADHD, the child most likely doesn’t have ADHD.
So what causes ADHD? There are many theories which include ADHD
children have brain abnormalities, “our environment,” bad eating
habits and diet, and genetics can be the causes. Some studies
indicate that women who drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes while
pregnant have a higher chance of the child being diagnosed in the
future with ADHD.
How can you mange ADHD disorders there are three ways to consider:
- Herbal and homeopathic remedies
- Drugs prescribed by a specialist that treats ADHD
- Both natural remedies and drugs combined.
Treating a child diagnosed with ADHD with drugs suppresses
the symptoms and may cause side effects. Herbal remedies have no
side effects
since you are treating the disorder with natural herbs and
vitamins. If you can help the child naturally without the side
effects of drugs to gain better focus, less hyperactivity and
better behavior, could be a better option. The most important
thing is to help your child live a full happy life by choosing
wisely the method of treatment for ADHD. |
